Fun Customization Options To Add To Your Pizza Menu

Over the years, standard pizza customization options have arisen in the United States. Most shops let customers pick their own toppings and some let them choose between two or three sauces, but that's about it! Offering additional customization options on your menu is a great way to stand out from other pizza shops. Here are a few customization options to consider including on your menus.

Choice Of Crust

Considering how many different diets call for limiting or excluding bread, this option will do really well these days. You can give customers two or three standard crust options: thick, regular, and thin. You can also offer a couple more offbeat crust options for those on specialized diets. Cauliflower crust is a good one that will appeal to low-carb and gluten-free dieters. Oat crust is another good choice for gluten-free diets. You could also offer a whole wheat crust for those trying to increase their fiber intake.

Of course, you could expand this and offer flavored crust options as well. It's pretty easy to make a garlic-basil crust by simply stirring some garlic powder and basil into your ordinary dough. Similarly, you can make a parmesan crust by adding shredded or powdered parmesan cheese to the dough mix.

Create Four Quarters

So many people who order pizza for a group end up fighting over which toppings to get. You can make life easier for your customers by offering a create-four-quarters pizza customization option. Let the customer choose four different sets of toppings for the four different quarters of the pizza. You may want to set a limit, such as allowing only up to three toppings per quarter, to keep things from getting too busy in the kitchen. This customization option ensures all of your guests are able to get what they want out of a pizza, even if they're sharing that pizza with some friends.

Stuffed Crusts

Stuffing the crust of a pizza isn't a new idea, but most places who offer stuffed crust usually just stuff the crust with cheese. One way to set yourself apart is to let customers choose their crust stuffing! You do want to limit this to one ingredient since fitting too much inside the crust can be challenging. Ingredients that work well for crust stuffing include pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, and parmesan cheese.

Hopefully, this article has inspired you to add some extra customization options to your menu! Your customers will enjoy being able to order a customized pizza that perfectly fits their tastes.
